Who we are

Dominic Young trading as Young BI Consulting is the data controller for this website and for enquiry emails sent to the practice. Young BI Consulting provides business intelligence dashboards and reporting.

For privacy questions, Dominic Young is the person to contact. There is no postal address listed for the practice. Use email or phone instead.

What we collect

This is a marketing website only. It does not have a member login, a newsletter signup, or a server that stores form submissions.

The contact form on this site opens your own email client with a draft to enquiries@youngbiconsulting.com. Nothing you type in the form is saved on the website.

If you email Young BI Consulting (including via that draft), the correspondence sits in Dom’s email so we can reply to the enquiry. Enquiry email is handled via our email provider (Google Workspace / Google). That may include your name, email address, company name if you give it, phone number if you share it, and whatever you write in the message.

If we later work together, we will keep the contact details and files needed to do that work, as you would expect from any professional engagement.

Why we use the information (UK GDPR)

For an enquiry email, we rely on legitimate interests: it is reasonable to read and reply to a message someone chose to send us. If we then take on paid work, we also use the information as needed to enter into and perform that contract.

We do not use enquiry emails for marketing lists, profiling, or automated decisions.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to respond, and — if we work together — to run the engagement. Unanswered enquiries are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or archived reasonably. After an engagement ends, remaining messages are deleted or archived in a reasonable way (for example, so that inbox clutter does not hold personal details longer than they are useful).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict how we use it, object to our using it, or ask for a copy in a portable format where that applies. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use non-essential cookies or analytics.

We do not sell personal data. This first version of the site has no tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics.
